Well, as expected Apple announced the much-awaited budget(in someway) iPhone with older iPhone 8 design and latest Apple A13 processor for $399 in the middle of this pandemic situation.

This iPhone has been a long wait since last year and it's been called many names among which the iPhone 9 is the most heard one as logically it is a successor for the iPhone 8 with upgraded specs and yes the number 9 is missing in the iPhone series.

Tip: Except for the centered apple logo, the design is exactly the same as the iPhone 8 and all the cases will fit well unless your case has a cutout for apple logo ;)

But, Apple named it the iPhone SE (2nd gen) succeding the original iPhone SE with the iPhone 6s specs in an iPhone 5s design.

Following the Product RED theme, every Product RED iPhone sold, some amount will be contributed towards COVID -19 relief.

The most important thing of all is the Pricing and it is the main thing on which apple focussed for this iPhone.
Starting at $399 makes it an excellent deal. In the US there's no doubt that its the best value for money.

But, unfortunately, the Indian pricing of the product is not that exciting as it is priced at INR 42,500(roughly $570). Thanks to high taxes by the Government.

 64GB Variant   - 42,500 Rupees.
128GB Variant  - 47,800 Rupees.
256GB Variant  - 58,300 Rupees.

However, if you can spend anything above Rs. 50,000, the iPhone XR starts at Rs.52.5k(even lower with offers)  with better design and Face ID. But, specifications wise the iPhone SE 2020 is more advanced with WiFi 6, better antenna for LTE(2x2 MIMO) and the A13 chip.

At this price, it is still a great iPhone considering the specifications and features and if you're planning to move into the Apple ecosystem or want to move to an iPhone with limited, this is a great start as this has a great processor for exceptional performance, good camera and is much cheaper than other iPhones.

My prediction is that this is going to be the best selling iPhone in 2020 as it would lure more people with a limited budget into buying an iPhone as most people use phones preferring functionality rather than design.

TL;DR: It's a great iPhone for the price(atleast the base variant). But the Indian pricing disappoints. Still a much better deal in India as well for those who are considering upgrading or moving to iPhone.
