Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 - What? Why? when? About! - The Confusion😖😖

Howdy Internet fam,

                     I'm pretty sure you or at least one among the five guys you could see right now are excited about the upcoming Redmi Note 5 or in other words, the successor of the Redmi Note lineup which made the company stand beside and even higher than one of the pioneers of the industry, Samsung!

 We all know that Xiaomi has done a great job over the last couple of years in India by ruling the budget segment of smartphone lineup like an Emperor!

Now coming to the latest hype which is being generated by the company itself, one would expect a stellar device to be launched!

But, will they?

Let's Analyze the things a bit!

About the device :

From the teased clips, it will for sure be the successor of the Redmi Note 4 as they clearly mentioned it as the successor of the device which took them to great heights and of course it is the note 4.

As most of us are aware that Xiaomi launched Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 plus in China last month. Yes, a new candidate into the list, a plus guy in the Redmi series!

They are quite a few upgrades when compared to Redmi 4 with all new18:9 panel and reasonably strong upgrades in the chipset with Snapdragon 450 and Snapdragon 625 for the regular and the plus-sized variants respectively!

And the cameras are also an upgrade. Even though they bear the same configuration as in the Mi A1(primary shooter), they aren't that good but a better upgrade.

The Confusion 😕 :

It's 2018 now and that forces the smartphone manufacturers to include an 18:9 panel even for their budget devices to withstand the competition. The same held good for Xiaomi as well. So, by shrinking the regular 5-inch model to the 2:1 panel, the form factor of the device reduces considerably. So, they introduced the plus variant with a much better chip which we similarly see in the note lineup and that is the same thing as in the Note 4.

So, all this leads to a reasonably fair thought on the replacement of the Note 5 with a 5 Plus!

But, why would Xiaomi do that? I mean no upgrade in terms of SoC and no Dual Cameras for the device which made them sit on top?

These make a few including me think that there's gonna be a new one in the Note Lineup!

But, as a bit of a cherry on top of the confusion cake, Xiaomi didn't tease about the speed(necessarily the chipset). They only teased about the display and resolution which is FHD+ but with an almost same density of pixels overall as the panel size increases.

Hope :

I really do hope that Xiaomi doesn't do the other way which would lead to the hatred of themselves in my opinion!

Many experts in the field like Ash from c4ETech are confident about an all-new Redmi Note 4 with at least the Snapdragon 630 onboard!

Also, the people who believe it's not gonna happen had a lot of weight to their belief., despite a few leaks of the render with a dual camera and 630 or 636 also the 660 onboard!

I hope and would love to see a device other than the Redmi 5 Plus on the event in New Delhi on Feb 14th - 2018!
